Coming Soon to the Main Street Playhouse is the South Florida Premiere of Crazy Mary by A R Gurney.  This poignant play centers on Mary, a middle aged woman who has been living in a sanitarium for over 30 years after her wealthy family had her committed.  Entering the scene is Lydia, a distant cousin who has been designated as Mary's legal guardian.  She visits Mary with her son, Skip, an unhappy college student at Harvard.  What follows is a culture clash between the buttoned-down Lydia and the long forgotten Mary, who might have a second chance at a life outside the sanitarium. 

 

Crazy Mary is being directed by Matt May and the cast includes:
 
Marilyn Gresh as Mary, Donna Wood as Lydia, Michael Schneider as Skip, Katrina Munajj as Pearl, and Ron Torres as Jerome, Mary's doctor.
 
The show opens on Friday, July 30th and runs until August 15th.  Performances will be on Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm and on Sundays at 5pm with a Thursday performance on August 12th at 8pm.
