Patty Fernandez President

Patty is a massage therapist and esthetician at The Spa at Auberge Beach in Fort Lauderdale, formerly at The Spa at Shula's in Miami Lakes for nearly 13 years. For 39 years she’s been active in theater—joining Main Street Players in 1986—and has served as VP, secretary, assistant director/choreographer, and children’s workshop instructor. She also performs with the Shakespeare Troupe of South Florida, taught dance to inner-city kids with Kids In Dade Society, and choreographed local church and school productions.
Danny Nieves Managing Director

Born and raised in Miami and a Christopher Columbus High School alum, Danny earned a BFA in Theatrical Performance from Florida International University in 2011. That year he joined Main Street Players starring in Extremities and later directed their acclaimed production Living Out. Though he’s worked with other South Florida theatres, MSP became his artistic home, and he’s proud to serve on its board and call it family.
Amanda Sparhawk Secretary

Amanda Sparhawk earned a BFA in Scenic Design from Florida International University and has worked professionally in Miami since. Mainstreet Playhouse has been her second family; she’s thrilled to be producing again. Favorite MSP set designs include The Underpants, Real Women Have Curves, Bad Jews, Clyborne Park, and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress; favorite lighting designs include A Bicycle Country, Iphigenia, This Random World, and Men on Boats.
Sara Jarrell: Artistic Director

Sara Jarrell is a Miami native and has been a teaching artist for 10 years; they’re currently the Drama Magnet Teacher at South Miami K–8 Center. Sara earned a BFA in Theater Performance from New World School of the Arts/University of Florida and brings their theatre experience to Main Street Players. They’ve performed in Christiana Lysistrata and Hooha, help out at MSP, and thank their husband for always holding down the fort.
Fawad Sadiquii
Fawad Siddiqui is a veteran TV, film, theatre and improv actor-director and teacher of Short Round Improv at Main Street Players, where he began his career. A Hialeah native from one of South Florida’s first Pakistani-American families, he trained at Second City, has appeared in 50+ TV/film/commercial projects, and recently performed on a national Broadway tour. He founded Laughing Gas improv at MSP 20 years ago and revived improv there two years ago. Fawad also runs his family’s engineering firm, is a comic-book historian/artist, and has worked in journalism and Muslim-community nonprofits (contributing to Miami Herald 9/11 coverage, serving as assistant editor of a major Muslim magazine, and holding a Northwestern reporting fellowship).
Roderick Randle Box Office Manager

Miami-born Roderick attended Michael Krop Arts Magnet and earned a BFA in Acting from Florida State University (2013). His first post-college role was Cory Maxon in Fences. He joined Main Street Players in 2017’s Clark Gable Slept Here and has since appeared in five MSP productions and stage managed one. He now serves as MSP Box Office Manager and values the growth and sense of family the theatre provides.
Charles James
Charles is a two-time Vietnam veteran who retired from the U.S. Army as a Major. He co-produced the documentary "Black Vietnam: Into the Light," a 2020 Los Angeles Film Festival finalist. A commercial model and local actor, he serves on the Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee (helping plan events and the Fourth of July fireworks). Charles enjoys building sets, managing concessions, and supporting Main Street Playhouse—attending performances regularly and helping wherever needed.

Sefanja Richard Galon is a Surinamese-American playwright, director and actor. Born in Miami and raised in Paramaribo, he holds a BFA in Theatre from New World School of the Arts, where he was SGA president and wrote A Secret for the Mad and Oskuneru. His credits include Sibling Rivalries/Spooks in an Ivory Tower, Ragtime, and In the Red and Brown Water. In 2023 he made his professional playwriting debut with Jealousy at Thank You Miami and his directorial debut with Sweat at Main Street Players. Nora Casal Cintron
Nora joined the federal service in 1987, Nora Casal Cintron has dedicated her professional life to the advancement of American community development. As a specialist in CDBG Federal Compliance, she served as a vital bridge between federal policy and local implementation. Over 36.5 years at HUD, Nora mastered the art of balancing strict regulatory oversight with the practical needs of community revitalization. Her legacy is one of accountability and excellence, ensuring that federal funds were used effectively to create decent housing and expanded economic opportunities for those who need it most. I retired from federal service in April 2024. I began volunteering at the Mainstreet Playhouse and subsequently was invited to join the board of directors of MSP in January 2026.
Nora is a resident of Miami Lakes, Florida. I’ve been married to my husband for almost 23 years and together we have three children and three grandchildren.
Cindy Castillo
Cindy is in her ninth year on the MSP board. A lifelong Miami resident and proud Cuban-American, she’s volunteered as usher, set painter, and crew—earning MSP’s Volunteer of the Year (2013)—and now serves as Assistant Playhouse Manager, stage manager/lead crew member, and narrator for three free readings. She holds an MSW from Barry University, has 27 years in social work, and wrote/produced a short play at Micro Theatre Miami (2015). Cindy is honored to serve MSP and excited for its future.
