2018 Children's Acting Workshop
The crew here at MSP is excited to bring another fun filled summer workshop at the Main Street Playhouse in the heart of beautiful Miami Lakes. Students in the workshop will develop their performance skills, learn the value of working as an ensemble and, most importantly, will have fun! With the addition of an extra week, we will be immersing our campers with all things theatre. During the first week we will be working on writing and acting in their own original plays, puppet making through character development, the history of masks in theatre and construction of masks, scenic painting and of course acting!
Our three week session for boys and girls from 7 to 13 begins on Monday, June 11th and ends on Friday, June 29th. Classes run daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm and will be limited to 20 students. Daily class and rehearsals will be filled with movement, acting and exploration through the imagination - as they come together to perform a spectacular final end of camp production for their families on the final Friday of the session. You don’t want to miss out on all the fun!
